Most of the bar aisle competes on dessert. One nutritionist’s verdict on a mainstream bar: “essentially dessert with a sprinkle of protein and fiber to dress it up.” Ration runs the other direction: seasoned like food, sweetened gently where it is sweetened at all, 0g added sugar per bar. Depends on the bar. R-01 and R-02 carry a gentle, real sweetness: toasted grains, tart cherry, and a measured dose of allulose, which is our sweetener. R-03 and R-04 are fully savory. Nothing in the batch gets anywhere near candy.

Because it divides cleanly into a day. People who track protein aim at a round daily number, and a 25g unit is arithmetic you can do standing up. We make no claims about what protein does for you; we just count it carefully.

The panels on this site are computed from our recipes as written; every number traces to the formulation on file. The final panel gets verified by independent lab analysis of the production run before anything ships. If final values change materially, anyone who has ordered can cancel free, no questions.

Nothing exotic. Dairy proteins (whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate), puffed rice and protein crisps, toasted oats, a fiber and binder system, allulose (our sweetener; it binds too), sunflower oil in most flavors, salt, and each flavor’s seasoning. Every flavor page on the Batch 001 board carries its full ingredient list, in the order it goes in.

Every flavor contains milk; dairy proteins are the base of the whole batch. R-02 Tart Cherry + Almond also contains tree nuts (almonds).

All flavors are made with oats; we make no gluten-free claim. R-02 runs on scheduled production with tree-nut cross-contact controls at the co-manufacturer, and facility may-contain statements finalize with its line schedule. Each flavor page carries its Contains line; full allergen statements publish with the final ingredient lists.

Dairy does the heavy lifting: whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate carry the spec in every flavor, with protein crisps adding protein of their own along with the texture. R-02 layers almond flour and almond butter over the same base, which bring a little protein of their own.

Allulose, gently dosed. It is a rare sugar that pulls double duty: it sweetens R-01 and R-02 to gentle, and it helps bind every bar in the batch. It reads 0g on the Added Sugars line because the FDA counts allulose outside Total and Added Sugars; we tell you it is there anyway, because we publish everything. The research behind the dose lives on the about page.

The other sugar you will see on a panel is R-02’s 4g of Total Sugars: cherry fruit sugar from the freeze-dried cherries. There is no syrup anywhere in the batch.

Vegetarian by design: the base is dairy proteins, oats, and fiber. We are still confirming the rennet source on the cheese powders with our suppliers, and we won’t print the claim on a box before we have. Vegan, no. Dairy proteins carry the protein number in every flavor, and we’d rather say that plainly than promise a swap we haven’t built.

Light, with volume. The base is puffed rice and protein crisps, little crunchy spheres about the size of tapioca pearls, pressed into a bar. You get more bar in your hand for the calories, and it chews like food. Bar two or three of the day still sounds good.

That’s half the reason it exists. Candy-sweet bars disappear like the candy they are. A bar seasoned like food sits in the drawer until you actually need 25 grams. Keep a box; it will still be there Thursday.

Nothing is stopping you. R-02 leans tart enough to be the closest thing we make to one. It still will not feel like dessert; that is the point of it.

There is no coating, so there is nothing to melt. We still don’t recommend the dashboard in July.

Black coffee at 6am is the canonical pairing; R-02’s tart cherry was built for it. R-03 sits next to a real lunch without stealing the plate’s job.

Unopened boxes: no questions asked. Opened boxes can’t be restocked; once the seal on a food product is broken it can’t safely be resold. If something is wrong with an opened box, email us anyway and we’ll make it right.
